September, 2011: Congratulations to Miss Pearl Chen Lu Hua, PhD candidate, Department of Biochemistry. She received a Travel Fellowship to the 2011 International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease in France in July 2011. She also received the Best Paper Award from the Faculty for her paper entitled “Association between CLU Polymorphisms and Clinical Phenotypes in Alzheimer’s Disease”.

Feb 17, 2011: Dr. Martin Cheung, Professor Kathryn Cheah, and Dr. Danny Chan were awarded the Research Output Prize at the Award Presentation Ceremony for Excellence in Teaching and Research 2010 for their paper entitled "A Mutation in Ihh that Causes Digit Abnormalities Alters Its Signaling Capacity and Range", published in Nature, April 2009.




Feb 15, 2011 Congratulation to Ms. Yuk Kuen Woo and Mrs. Irene Poon who were presented with the Long Service Awards by the Vice Chancellor to honour their 35 years (Ms. Woo) and 15 years (Mrs. Poon) of service and contributions to the University.

Feb, 2011: Dr. Zhongjun Zhou, and collaborators from the Mainland, has been awarded the Second Class State Scientific and Technological Progress Award by the National Office of Science and Technology Awards for the project entitled "Study on the molecular mechanisms modulating aging as well as the establishment and application of individual aging-evaluating system".




Jan 15, 2011: Dr. Nai Sum Wong was awarded a Faculty Teaching Medal in recognition of teaching excellence during the Faculty Graduation and Prize Presentation Ceremony 2010.





Dec 2-3, 2010: Mr. Kin Shing Lee (PhD student in Department of Biochemistry) received a Certificate of Merit for his poster presentation in the 15th Research Postgraduate Symposium.






Dr. MH ShamJan 2010: Congratulation to Dr. MH Sham who won the Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award in the 2008-9 round of the University's OutstandingResearcher Awards Scheme.
