University of Hong Kong - University of Toronto Joint PhD Degree Programme
Department of Biochemistry, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Toronto (UofT) has established a joint PhD degree programme in 2011. It offers a valuable opportunity for students to pursue research in a wide range of disciplines as well as in topics that invite interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches at two premier universities in Asia and North America. High calibre PhD students are given the opportunity to spend half of their time at each institution.
Under this scheme, students participate in a Joint PhD Placement at both HKU and UofT. Students will carry out research work at both HKU and UofT. HKU and UofT will jointly award a single PhD degree to research students for their research undertaken at both HKU and UofT.
